Here at Homecarers Cheshire, we have now welcomed two new members to our team; Registered Manager, Jessica, and Graduate Manager, Kate. They have been with us for a few weeks now, so we spoke to these brand new faces to see how they are finding working at Homecarers so far, and what they are most looking forward to.
Let’s hear what they had to say!
Registered Manager – Jessica
What brought you to Homecarers?
“I wanted a new challenge and as Homecarers is a relatively new company, I knew it would be a company I could grow with and use my knowledge and skill set to help the company develop and grow even further.”
What background do you have working in the care sector?
“I started off as a care worker back in 2018 before moving to Chester, working towards my level 5 in Adult social care and Management while acting as Deputy Care Manager for an established domiciliary care company in Chester. I then progressed onto Branch Manager and started a new branch within the Wirral. I have also worked as an Operations Manager which gave me a bigger oversight into how domiciliary care companies function, how to exceed standards and promote growth whilst reviewing policies and procedures. I enjoyed this, however I found I missed being on the front line within a branch, and the day to day overseeing of a branch which took me to where I am now.”
How have you found working for Homecarers so far?
“I have really enjoyed my time so far; every day is something different and although it comes with its challenges, it is certainly never dull. I like how we are growing and developing meaning we are always looking into new ways of doing things and being innovative.”
What are you most looking forward to in your role here at Homecarers?
“I most look forward to working with the team and clients to ensure we have a happy workforce and happy clients. Compliments and positive feedback which I aim to achieve will make all the hard work worthwhile.”
Graduate Manager – Kate
What brought you to Homecarers?
“I always wanted to start a career in a business where I felt my work was beneficial to society and I feel that working in social care gives me that purpose. Homecarers is a fast paced, ever-growing business which allows me to be creative and start new projects with the help of my supportive team around me.”
What experience do you have in previous roles that would be beneficial for this role?
“I used to work in MorrisHR, a small independent company based on the Wirral and Liverpool. They helped me by giving me the experience of what it is like to work in a business and how there are many different aspects that go into running a business from HR to marketing.”
How have you found working for Homecarers so far?
“Although I haven’t worked at Homecarers for very long, I have felt fully supported in my role and very welcomed within the business. It is a fast-paced creative role which I have very much enjoyed and I am looking forward to seeing where the rest of my time takes me!”
What are you most looking forward to in your role here at Homecarers?
“I am looking forward to helping the business strive in the social care industry and understanding just how much of a positive impact we have on the lives of others.”
Welcome to the team Jessica and Kate!
