This month is National Home Care Month 2024, so let’s talk about all the amazing care that we provide here at Homecarers Care Services.

About National Home Care Month 2024

National Home Care Month is a month dedicated to celebrating the health and social care workforce, specifically focusing on the home care sector, and the service of providing care in the comfort of client’s own homes.

This month is dedicated to honouring those who dedicate their lives to providing exceptional home care every single day, to the most vulnerable within the community. Here at Homecarers Care Services, we know all to well what exceptional standards of care look like, and we pride ourselves every day on ensuring we are supporting our service users in the best way that we can, improving their quality of life significantly.

What is home care?

Home care is a service that is provided to vulnerable individuals by healthcare professionals in the comfort of their own home, in order to provide extra support with daily tasks in order to promote independence for as long as possible.

The service provided is dependent on the needs of the individual and their specific requirements according to their person-centred care plan – this ensures that each individual receives the correct care in order to support them efficiently with day to day tasks, improving their quality of life.

Here at Homecarers, we ensure to focus on the person-centred approach, tailoring each care plan, and ultimately each care call to meet the specific needs of the service user.

What are the benefits of home care?

Whilst accepting the need for home care can be a difficult first step, there are many benefits to home care when increasing your quality of life, and promoting independence within your own home for as long as possible:
