On the 16th of October, HR and Compliance Officer Beth, and Digital Marketing Apprentice Erin took themselves off to Tesco Old Swan to help out with Fareshare with their food bank collections!
Fareshare are a non-profit organisation that helps those who may be struggling to put food on the table by holding food bank collections regularly, and distributing these donations out to the local community and charities.
When we arrived, we spoke to the lovely staff at Fareshare about what they do day-in day-out, and what impact their hard work has had on the community.
So, after a little chat with the Fareshare team, we got to work! We handed out leaflets to those coming in and out of Tesco, telling each customer a little bit about what Fareshare do and what you can donate to help a person in need. We were astonished by the amount of generosity the public had – we managed to accumulate over 15 trays of donations! This was a fantastic outcome and we know how much this can help someone who may be struggling.
