It’s official! HCL are pioneers in implementing technology in social care.
Our MD Karen Caffrey is featured on this video on Informed Actions explaining how HCL‘s adoption of the PASS system has greatly improved our processes in providing care.
The PASS system, developed by Hampshire-based Every Life Solutions, ensures our care staff have all the service user’s information to hand when attending home visits, by simply scanning a QR code with their mobile phone app. The digital record then comes up, listing all the essential tasks that need to be carried out. This is particularly important for those with dementia who cannot recall when they last ate a meal or took medication.
Prior to the implementation of the PASS system, careworkers and families were reliant on phone calls and paper records. Now the information is available for families to access in real-time.
However, we are not resting on our laurels. We continue to seek opportunities to be at the vanguard of the technological revolution in care. Soon, we will be able to implement the Caring Cloud, which will offer our carers even more insight, enabling them to monitor activity and check temperature to ensure service users are safe and comfortable even when carers are not there in person.
