On the 21st March 2025, we took part in Red Nose Day and wearing our funky red noses, fundraising for Comic Relief!
This is just one of the many fundraisers we are taking part in this year at Homecarers Care Services, supporting both local and national charities.
What is Red Nose Day?
Red Nose Day 2025 took place on the 21st March 2025, celebrating 40 years of Comic Relief. Across the UK, millions of people will be wearing their Red Noses on Red Nose Day, to support deprived communities across the world.
What do Comic Relief do?
Comic Relief work with a number of local communities, support groups and charities to put an end to poverty across the world. With your generous donations, Comic Relief provide support and resources such as; providing shelter, food, clothes, filling shelves in baby banks, and much more.
Over the past few years, Comic Relief have helped support over 10 million people, including:
- 2.3 million children and young people across the world get access to safe homes, good nutrition and quality health care and education.
- 1.5 million people in the UK and around the world with health care and mental wellbeing support.
- 1.5 million people in the UK and around the world with opportunities for learning and access quality education.
- 150k people in the UK with access to specialist support services including safe accomodation.
- 2.6 million people in the UK severely impacted by the rising costs of living.

How do my donations help?
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help fund the essential support that Comic Relief provide to local communities across the world, but here is a few examples of the impact your donations can have:
- £5 – can enable a child in Zambia to attend a social circus session, where they can develop their confidence, trust and communication skills in a fun and safe environment.
- £10 – could provide a woman refugee a weekly hygiene pack.
- £20 – could provide a set of bedding for a young person at risk, helping them towards their first steps of independence after homelessness.
