Yesterday, we held Halloween fundraisers across Homecarers, raising funds for Zoe’s Place to help them reach their goal of £5 million in order to find a new home for the children’s hospice. This took place in our Chester and Winsford offices, with our Liverpool offices donating to the charity in lieu of buying new Halloween costumes.
Across all 3 branches, we have raised an INCREDIBLE £262 for the children’s hospice so far!
We would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who came down on the day to our Chester and Winsford offices, bought cakes from ourselves, donated to our JustGiving pages and contributed to an amazing cause. With your help, we were able to raise a significant amount to help Zoe’s Place find a new home.
Why are we fundraising for Zoe’s Place?
Zoe’s Place is a children’s hospice based in Liverpool, and due to unfortunate circumstances regarding the contract ending on their current building, they are forced to find another home before December – otherwise, they will have no choice but to close their premises and stop providing services to families in need.
They provide a range of support to family members with sick children, including; respite, end-of-life and palliative care to babies and children with life-altering conditions, and a range of therapies including holistic therapy, hydrotherapy, play therapy, and physiotherapy. They also have a number of services and amenities to provide additional support, including; six rooms for overnight stays (including a bereavement suite), sensory rooms, soft play, and outdoor play areas.
Zoe’s place provide both short breaks to long stays for families, including day care and overnight stays. Their services are extremely vital to families across Liverpool with sick children, and provide much-needed support to family who require respite.
They need to fundraise £5 million by the 9th November 2024 to find sufficient funds , so we wanted to help our local children’s hospice wherever we can – so far, we have raised an INCREDIBLE £1137 for the charity, to help them reach their goal of £5 million in order to fund a new hospice for Zoe’s Place.

What other fundraising do we do?
Throughout the year, we fundraise for a number of local and national charities to help support those in need across the country. So far in 2024, we have fundraised for the following charities:
- Marie Curie
- Breast Cancer Now
- Macmillan
- Cancer Research UK
- Comic Relief
- Bowel Cancer Research UK
- And more.
One of our Social Value pledges is to raise £3000 regionally by the end of 2024 for local and national charities, so it is important to us as a domiciliary care company to ensure we are supporting local companies as much as possible through our fundraising efforts. Is there still time to donate?
If you would like to leave a donation, you can either leave a donation directly on the Zoe’s Place JustGiving Page here, or you can still leave donations on our JustGiving pages here (Liverpool) and here (Cheshire).
Let’s all help Zoe’s Place in Liverpool reach their goal of £5 million by the 9th November, and help them find a new home for their children’s hospice to support families in need.
